Every habitat needs sand. The crabs love to dig down into it. Easy to clean and comes in bright and wonderful colors. My favorite is the glow-in-the-dark! Reasonably priced and easy to use.

Over the years,it's been fun decorating the Hermit Crab habitat in different themes.Using this T-Rex Calci sand is great.Not only does it benefit your Hermit Crabs,it makes the tank look like a summer day at the beach,which is cool in the middle of our drab winter.I loved using the Hot pink!

Good product to offer in a dish for hermit crabs to nibble on. Not good for a substrate. Crabs need moisture and this stuff stinks when it's wet. The water just beads up anyway.

Pros: It provides calcium, they can dig in it.

Cons: It stinks, it doesn't hold moisture and it cna trap them when it hardens.
