This book was the 1st one I noticed at the petstore. Until that moment I always thought rabbits lived outside in hutches. This book steered us in the right direction. It tells why that is not safe housing for a rabbit, what is, how to groom, what kinds of foods to feed, etc.
That day at the store before reading this book picked up Kaytee's Fiesta pellets for her. As soon as read how the seeds in the food could cause stasis, possibly death, the fruits added to much fruit to her diet and could upset her digestive system, those pellets went right back to the store.

This book is very helpful for those thinking about getting a rabbit as a pet. My children won two baby rabbits at a school fair. One died a few days later (from too much affection, I'm afraid), but the other lived for years. I didn't know anything about rabbits, and this book would have been a tremendous help. I was amazed at what great pets rabbits can be. R.I.P., Rabi.
