It has antihistamine properties and has worked very well to help minimize/reduce my mare's seasonal allergies that start up in late Feb every year. I haven't given this to my pets but it is worth looking into. My niece has fibromyalgia and spurlina (sp?) was recommended for her to use to improve her health.
