Can be used as a substitute of quick stop
posted 5 years ago
I usually keep Quick Stop in my emergency kit for animals, but if I am out of Quick Stop I can use cornstarch in an emergency to clot bleeding nails or broken blood feathers. If the blood feather is bleeding too badly and won't stop though I will have to pul it.
I think Quick Stop works better but I always have cornstarch on hand anyway so can always count on having something on hand.
Pros: Can use as a substitute for quick stop
Cons: Not as effective in my opinion
