One of our dogs is absolutely terrified of having his nails clipped. He puts up a huge fight which makes it extremely difficult to do his nails. This clipper is extremely ineffective in our case. Having to try to line up the nail and clip quickly is very difficult in a guillotine style clipper. If your dog is a "fighter" when it comes to nail clipping, a scissor-type clipper is much easier, and much quicker.

Sophia is good when she has to have her nails done. She rolls over and just lays there as her nails are cut. And her nails are white so they are easy to do becuase you can see the quicks.

I found this hard to use. The cat must be absolutely still to fit its claw into the hole, and that's kind of impossible. I prefer the squeeze type.

You need to clip your dogs nails but, with these clippers you have to be very careful not to cut the quick.
