Nail Grinder Dremel

My sister uses a dremel in her job as a groomer, and she dremelled my dogs' nails when she visited a few weeks ago. I do like how the tool gets the nails evenly trimmed and blunts the nail edges, but the noise scared two of the four dogs we pedicured.

The dremels marketed specifically for nails also wear quickly. Many regular dremel users recommend getting the home repair tool and using the regular attachments.

I don't know if I'd ever switch over to dremeling completely, but while my sister can do it for me, I like it!

Pros: Grinds edges of nails down smoothly to avoid uneven cut

Cons: Frightens some dogs more than clippers, has a learning curve, grinder surface wears quickly, expensive

This is helpful for our dog with black nails, but it takes too long and the noise scares her. I have found that it is just easier to use clippers and just be very careful.

Pros: Helpful with dark colored nails.

Cons: Takes to long and the noise scares the dogs.
