Elizabethan Collars

My dog needed this for 2 weeks. She wasn't happy with it, but it certainly did work. Her surgery was costly, so I wasn't going to take the chance of complications, but next time, I might try the cloth collar.

Pros: works

Cons: uncomfortable

All Elizabethan collars seem to have improved over the years -- with manufacturers now recognizing that comfort for the animal is a factor -along with longevity of the product. But, I still dread having a collar prescribed for my animals. None of them have ever been the least bit happy to wear one. And, I guess I've been blessed in that my animals have all been able to heal successfully without wearing the collar for the prescribed length of time. This particular brand cleans up relatively well. And, there is some padding at the neck that should make it somewhat more comfortable to wear.
