Good treat, but a "sometime" thing

posted 6 years ago

I had thought these were very useful in preventing stasis/bezoars [hairballs] in rabbits, but my rabbit-savvy vets said that this was a myth. The bast prevention is prevention-lots of fiber [HAY HAY HAY] and low carbs-not too many pellets and minimal sweets. The papaya tablets went from a daily treat to a sometime treat eg when there is thunder or when they have to take yukky tasting meds or even worse, nosedrops. As usual with Oxbow, they are fresh, clean and at least they don't have added sugar.

Pros: My bunnies love them

Cons: use in moderation

Small, aspirin size treat

posted 6 years ago

My rabbits love these. They are supposed to help with hair balls but I really can't say if they do or not. I do know that they smell pretty darn good! Buddy, our foster flemish, loves them and hops around when I shake the bottle. I have 3 rabbits and I will give one or two tablets every few days. I did receive a sample from this site and decided to buy more after seeing how much Buddy and the girls liked them.

Pros: tasty, rabbits love them

Cons: small

Bunny Loved it

posted 6 years ago

I just gave these to the bunny. He didn't know what to do with it at first, just sniffing it. Then he took a nibble and seemed to like it because he ate it right up. I think it would be a great treat for rabbits and seems to be good for them from reading the label. I would use in moderation but it is sugar free.

Pros: The rabbit really liked it

Cons: It took a little time for him to try it

Bunny bliss.

posted 6 years ago

These tablets are a daily treat for our 11-year-old house rabbit. We're pretty indulgent and give him 3 a day now that he's so old, and I am convinced this has taught him how to count. I don't know if it's due to the tablets, but none of our house buns have ever suffered from hairballs.

Pros: The bunnies love it, plus it smells wonderful.

Cons: Can't think any!

I have 3 cats and they love this food. They eat less and walk away with a full belly. Eating less means pooping less and less litter. All around a great choice for my cats.
