THis brush is well tolerated by even our fussiest animal. We use it on the Labrador, both cats and both guinea pigs. It does a moderately well job at removing loose hair. It's the fastest thing we've tried.

The disadvantage would be the static build up we get from this. The hair sticks to the brush statically, and then it transfers to you, statically. So really, you need to pair this with a sticky lint brush for the most effective use.

This is the tool we use most often in our house for all animal grooming.
