This is the best tool created for pet grooming. It does the best job (by far) with the least discomfort to your pet. My dogs try to crowd each other out for a chance to be combed with this tool.
Warning: It does such an excellent job, do your combing where you are not worried about hair getting all over. My preferable use for my dogs is outside ---- in the Ellensburg wind ---- wind blowing away from me toward the neighbors field.

This didn't work very well for my two German Shepherds because although they have a lot of fur, it's the slick kind where the rake just slides through. I'm sure this would be a real benefit for dogs with thick, dense, downy fur like collies, shelties, golden retrievers, sheepdogs, etc.

We only sell (and use) this grooming rake in my veterinary hospital. You don't need any other tool for matt removal or general grooming.
