Flea preventive for dogs

posted 6 years ago

better than the stuff discount stores sell, have to be careful with touching the pet and making sure pet does not roll around on bedding after applying it too them.

Seems to not last as long as package states it should. SOmetimes find a few fleas, while using product.

Pros: Better than the stuff discount stores sell

Cons: chemicals used

Advantage works!

posted 5 years ago

I think that Advantage For Dogs is a very good product. It is easy to apply, and much safer than the whole body spray. It lasts for an entire month, and works very well. The only problem that I have with it is that it is pretty expensive, and we can only find it at our vet's office.

Pros: Apply once monthly, can bathe three days after application, only on shoulders- the toxin is not all over the body. Easier to apply than the spray.

Cons: Expensive, not carried everywhere, some dogs are right between the weight categories.

Works great

posted 6 years ago

We apply this stuff religiously to our two dogs. We don't have a tick and flea problem and we'd like to keep it that way. For us camper types, this stuff keeps the bugs outside the screened areas and what we pack in (Only) we pack out.....no critter hitchikers.

Pros: Highly effective

Cons: Appears greasy
