I tend to use products like these when I'm having company,as it really does freshen up the house.
I try to do it early enough though,because the smell can be a bit overwhelming if you use it right before guests arrive.lol

It does do a good job of loosening pet hair and freshing the rug, but I don't use it all the time in fear of how safe it really is.

This stuff really works! I can't believe the difference in the carpet before and after. The smell can be a bit strong but definitely worth it.
