We have a deaf dog that barks excessively when he is outside. We have had the police called on us a few times. We reluctantly tried this collar. We would only put it on him when he went outside. In two days he stopped barking. On day 3 we took the batteries out, and he didn't bark. Now, we put it on him early in the morning or late at night when we let him out still with no batteries in it. It worked great.
And, we are not lazy.
