Nice way to display
posted 7 years ago
Our local vet office has one of these cages in their lobby. They will take one or two of our cats and display them for us. Then if somebody wants to adopted one, they have the folks call us.
The play pen is nice. There are 2 benches which depending on the cat, we will cover the benches. Some don't like the benches covered and so we will remove them.
There is 2 doors. One on the top half and one on the bottom half.
The one thing I don't like is the base which the cage sets in. To get in the groove of the base, you have to take the whole cage part off. Well, that is not easy to do if there are cats in it. And if you leave it, the groove will look nasty with litter and food in it. So we usually put the cats in a carrier or somebody hold them for a minute while the base is cleaned.
These are nice to display the cats in.
Pros: nice looking
Cons: pain to clean base

Great for use in a shelter
posted 7 years ago
We use this in the shelter. It's a great alternative to a plain one level boring cage. The cat just has to cooperate since it's not as easy to scoop one out when you need to move them.
Pros: less boring
Cons: cats have to cooperate
