Why why why why do people want to dress dogs up like dolls. I read about the "safety" aspect of putting them in shoes (or goggles, or incontinence pants) but dogs are designed not to need shoes. And I don't believe that any of them would prefer to wear booties than go barefoot.
This sort of rubbish panders to the vanity of the owner.

I sell these at my store. I carry them because at the beach, there is hot sand & pavement in the summer, and all year long, there are those nasty sand spurs and cactus buttons that can really hurt dog paws.

I do my best to educate customers that a dog's paws are sensitive, and that if the pavement or sand is too hot to walk on barefoot, it is too hot for the dog's paw pads.

They sell themselves to customers whose dogs have found a sand spur or the cactus buttons hidden in the sparse grass at the beach.

My dogs wear these in wet weather, snow, or when walking on hot pavement.
