Soft Paws For Kittens

Rating:

Rating: 3.7

Average rating from 86 reviews.

(3.7 out of 5, based on 86 reviews)

Soft Paws will fit most kittens by the time they reach the age of 16 weeks (4 months). Some kittens can wear them as early as age 12 weeks (3 months). To test, try a nail cap on first without the adhesive. If it looks too big, don?t glue it on. The nail cap should fit snugly, like a glove. Each Soft Paws kit contains 40 nail caps, 2 tubes of adhesive, applicator tips and easy to follow instructions. One kit contains enough for 4 front paw applications. Each application lasts approximately 4-6 weeks therefore each kit lasts approximately 4-6 months. To accommodate younger kittens, you can trim the base of the Soft Paws nail cap making it smaller so it will fit your kitten?s nail. Kittens up to about 5 pounds generally fit the kitten size. Kittens up to about 5 months generally fit the kitten size. This size can be safely used on Ferrets!

A great alternative to declawing

posted 5 years ago

These are a nice alternative to declawing. They are effective in stopping furniture destruction and are fun because they come in various colors. I do think application, depending on your cat's temperament, can be quite an ordeal so give yourself plenty of time to apply and make sure you start in a relaxed state of mind!

Pros: non surgical, effective

Cons: getting them on!!!

Good alternative to declawing

posted 5 years ago

These are easy to use and apply and you don't need a vet to do it unless your cat is very timid. It's important if our going to use them to start them early enough so they get used to it.

NEVER declaw your kitten or cat - it is mutilation! Don't want an animal that's it's nature is to scratch - don't get a cat!

Pros: prevents scratching and the need for declawing

Cons: expensive

I have 3 cats and they love this food. They eat less and walk away with a full belly. Eating less means pooping less and less litter. All around a great choice for my cats.
