I do not think this is a bad idea for dogs...It may keep them warmer than wearing no clothes. Of course if the animal hated it, it would be a bad idea to keep it on the animal.

This product will help the dog be more comfortable outside when it is cold. But please make sure not to keep you dog outside for long periods of time out in the cold. Dog can get hypothermia just as easy as humans. They feel just like us if we were cold. Be careful.

I use this on my sphynx kitties. They love the warmth and the feel of the material. Sometimes when I put this coat on them , one of my cats with hair will either be scared of the suddenly stranger looking kitty or start curling up next to one of them and try making bread on the other cat. Laughed my head off one day at this!

My dogs could really use this coat and I really like the style. It can get quite cold in the Northeast and these coats could work well but they don't come small enough for my dogs.
