I was helping this weekend with cleaning ears. I hate stuff like that. But the wife made me help. The Top Performance is not smelly. I hate smelling something like medicine. But this did not. So I did not mind cleaning ears after all.

Just don't tell my wife or she will make it my job to do all the time.

This cleaner is great. It smells great and keeps my dogs' ears in great shape. The only problem is that it is often difficult to keep massaging and holding on the dog for the whole minute as the directions say. My dogs want to shake it out as soon as they can. The cleaner is watery but foams as you massage it in. The larger the ears, the more you have to use. The dog shakes out the excess and you use cotton balls and swabs to get the rest out if needed. The swabs should only be used on the outer parts, not poked inside.

My dogs have big ears that stand open, but dirt still gets in them. I have to clean them at least once a week. This cleaner has a mild antiseptic like smell, and it doesn't seem to irritate the skin inside the ear. I use with cotton pads to get the rest out as cotton balls don't work as well for me.

The price is good and a larger bottle lasts pretty long, for my two GSDs it lasts over 3 months. They have big ears too. Sometimes they dig and red dirt goes inside the ears. This cleaner gets it all out.

I've been a nut about keeping their ears clean as I had another older GSD who had chronic ear problems. She eventually went deaf and the base of her ears got hardened. I want to prevent it from happening to my other two GSDs so I really try to keep them clean. This product so far works well. I have been using it for over 3 years.

We use this ear cleaner at the shelter. We usually use the gallon size since we have so many animals. But we also use the smaller sizes for foster homes and the prison program. Very easy to use.

Pros: Love the difference sizes of bottles

This works wonders and smells good to. No more ear odor
