I was feeding my rats a homemade diet because they wouldn't eat any of the pre-made diets from the store. Mainly they liked to eat around the fortified pieces, which is what also ended up missing from my own diet.
Then one day, while my rats were a class pet for my classroom, the kids noted that we were out of food. So i ran to Petsmart to pick up something to last till I could make their food. Low and behold, they LOVED this food. Best of all, they LOVED the little fortified pieces!

My rat Luigi LOVES this mix!!! He picks through and eats all the different goodies he likes first. It has a bunch of wholesome good snacks for rats and small animals in it. He recommends it highly.

The mice and rats really seem to like the variety in this mix. Haven't had any problems with it although sometimes hard to find locations that sell it.
