We give this to our ferrets as an occasional treat. But whenever a ferret is under the weather this becomes a staple, especially if they are not eating their normal food as well as the should.

When we make our home made 'duck soup' for the sick ferret, this product is one of the key ingredients in addition to their normal food and water. Even for the young ones that have not become accustomed to the taste, since it is blended in with their regular food, they do not have a problem with it and will eagerly eat it and want more.

This is a great supplement to have on hand just in case your ferret gets sick and doesn't feel like eating. In my case, this helped my ferret stay alive for a few weeks until he was strong enough to eat on his own again. Although it is not always easy to get them to eat this at first, keep trying..they will warm up to it and start eating it. I recommend feeding it to stubborn ferrets from your finger, instead of the tube. Mine seemed to take to that a lot better.

Usually in the fall one of my ferrets tends to get a lil' run down. So to help pick up his immune system I have him this mixed with chicken baby food and some crushed up dry. This does the trick to give him the nutirents he isn't getting on his own. Plus he loves the taste!

I find these pastes tastes good and the animal loves it. I have a paste made by the same company for my cat and she likes it. Very helpful for adding extra nutrition. Much better than trying to get a tablet into the animal!
