Food or Egg?

My parrotlet likes nutraberries but my budgies seem to think they're eggs to sit on which can cause problems. The parrotlet wants to eat and the budgies want to protect the "egg" and arguments ensue.. Nutraberries have become treats for the parrotlet when he's out of his cage away from the keets.
Pros: My Parrotlet likes it
Cons: My budgies only want to sit on it.
