Lafeber's Tropical Fruit Nutri-berries Parrot Food

(4.3 out of 5, based on 6 reviews)

The delicious and enticing tropical flavors of papaya, pineapple, and banana are added to the Nutri-Berries nutrition for a healthy nugget your bird will find irresistible. Veterinarian recommended Nutri-Berries are the most fun-to-eat, easy to accept food ever made. These nutritious nuggets have the shape birds naturally enjoy and a balanced, superior source of nutrition with an irresistible taste and aroma. Proper nutrition is critical to the good health and long life of your parrot. Nutri-Berries were formulated by Dr. T. J. Lafeber and an avian nutritionist for that very reason. The round shape helps assure that Nutri-Berries will supply the dietary needs of your bird. Nutri-Berries were designed to change your bird's bad eating habits, like picking out some seed and ignoring the others. Nutri-Berries are actually 96% eaten, meaning more nutrition for your bird and less waste on the floor for you. Combine Nutri-Berries with your bird's current diet. Once your bird begins eating them, discontinue the previous diet. Note: Most birds accept Nutri-Berries right away. However, if your bird does not initially, flatten them and mix with current diet until accepted. Once your bird is eating Nutri-Berries, feed your bird as much as will be eaten in a 12-hour period (about ten to 12). Let your bird empty the food dish before adding more. Ideally, your pet bird will be fed twice a day, with the dish being emptied after each meal.

Good for them

posted 5 years ago

We give these to our birds at the shop. The Amazons are the ones that really enjoy them. They don't get them everyday, just as an occasional good-for-them treat.

Pros: healthy treat

Cons: a bit expensive, but well worth it
