With Lafeber's Premium Daily Diet, you don't have to worry about your bird eating only one type of seed. Each pellet has all the nutrients your bird needs for a full life. The recipe begins with a high-quality blend of natural ingredients like ground corn, soybean meal, oat groats, and human-grade whole egg--the world's most digestive form of protein. Then, they fortify the mix with essential amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. Lastly, they stir in the taste of molasses and form it all into a pellet. The result is a 100% edible, highly digestible pellet that's virtually waste and mess free, and leads to improved health, greater stamina, better feathering, and longer life. If you're concerned about good health and long life for your bird, begin with proper nutrition. Begin with Lafeber's Premium Daily Diet. Lafeber's Pellets Feeding Schedule If you have never used pellets before, please read the following. If your bird is familiar with our pellets, you may skip the conversion instructions. Birds are shy about new foods. And if your bird has eaten seed all of its life, pellets can be a drastic change. Please do not immediately switch seed eating birds to pellets. Converting Birds To Pellets Often, birds seem to need a short period of introduction, then convert to Lafeber's Premium Daily Diet from seeds quite rapidly. My parrot's food

posted 6 years ago

This is *the* pelleted food my pet parrot is fed (other than fruits, veggies, etc.). I genuinely appreciate how it's more "natural" than parrot foods by other brands.

On the slightly negative side, my bird likes to crunch it into a powder and generally refuses to eat the powder once it's ground up. Also, the food is not carried by many pet stores and can be difficult to find. However, I feel that it's worth the extra trouble to get it.

Pros: Less artificial "junk" than other brands

Cons: Hard to find; bird makes "crumbles" out of it

Good product

posted 6 years ago

My Umbrella Cockatoo likes Lafeber's pellets. They are shaped well for the bird to handle and taste good. They induce healthy molting, and add a nice variety to my bird's diet. She gets fresh fruits & veg, 2 different kinds of pellets, spirulina on her seed mix as a treat, and she eats meals with me. Every bird I have ever had on this product has always done really well. It is also a good product to get birds on who have been seed addicts. They seem to transfer best from seed onto this brand of pellets.

Pros: good nutrition; aids in healthy molting and feather health; ergonomic shape

Cons: doesn't taste as good as some other pellets

I have 3 cats and they love this food. They eat less and walk away with a full belly. Eating less means pooping less and less litter. All around a great choice for my cats.
