I have tried and continue to try many types of suet. I get C&S at the major hardware chains and it is very inexpensive and they have many many different blends. I did try this blend, but it did not attract much.

But I live in the city and we do not have many fruit eating birds. No orioles or such as I noted in some comments on other berry flavored/ingredient type suets I have tried.

I found it does not attract many of our birds, although it did get eaten eventually so it is not like I had to throw it away. It is not the suet's fault...it is a matter of choosing the right suet for the choice of birds in your area.

The great thing about this dough suet is it does not melt and get messy or spoil in the summer sun. I use dough type suets in summer. Rendered fat suets in heat can spoil so this is a great choice for summer suet feeding.

I'm always grabbing up something I know the country birds will go for and be good for them. This is one of the things I grab more often thn not. Anyone that has as many birds as we do here in the thick woodlands know what I'm talking about. We so enjoy having so many different kinds of birds that come to feast throughout a day, everyday.

Great to hang outside and watch the birds hang from the little square container and eat the suet. The squirrel like them too, and they are fun to watch, however they will run away with it all if the can. There are many different varieties depending on what type of bird you are wanted to attract or which visit your feeder.

We go through these as a rate....well I can't even begin to recall right now. But more than one a week. We are pretty popular where the wild birds are concerned. There have also been racoons that take off with the stuff so must taste pretty good.

I use this kind of suet. I have been able to get several different flavors including hot pepper and the woodpeckers love that! This is truly a great addition to any backyard bird enthusiast!
