The guinea pig rescue I volunteer with offers guinea pig sleeping bags for sale that come in 11" for $10 and 14" for $15. They are sewn on three sides with an opening for the guinea pig. We use these at adoptions and open houses to allow small children to hold them. It's easier to hold them and keeps their nails from scratching anyone.
