Can be used for many things. Very popular now for securing luggage for airflights. Just make sure you pack a nail clipper to get them off. Use them at holiday time to hold lights to fencing. Can also be used to latch bird houses to hooks for hanging.

I use cable ties for everything. I made guinea pig cage with cubes and coroplast and secured a 2nd story loft with ties. I have used them on my chicken pen, a pig pen, inside goat barn on the stalls. I always have several different sizes on hand.

We use these for different purposes. We attach grids at our pignic for temporary pens for the guinea pigs. They are also great to attach grids when building a coroplast cage. I don't know of anything else that works better.
