I used this boot for one of my foster horses that had an abcess. It made it so much easier for the horse not to have to stand with her hoof in a bucket. This way you can put it on the hoof and they can move around if they want to while you are treating their hoof. Easier for you and easier for them! When the treatment is over you just pull it off. Taking it off is a bit messier than taking the hoof out of a bucket, but not messier than when they tip over a bucket.
