Unfortunately, if you have a horse that cribs, you are going to have to resort to a cribbing collar. If you don't, your horse will ruin his stall and his teeth. This collar does work. It is marketed as being humane. I have to keep the front strap rather snug in order to keep my horse from cribbing. This means that the hair is going to be worn off and you have to keep a look-out for sores. Make sure you adjust as the leather stretches. You may have to add a hole to get the best fit.

The cribbing collar applies pressure to the larynx only when the horse starts cribbing. He can eat, drink and graze while wearing the collar. A humane way to deter cribbing.
