we ordered one of these wheelchairs for Pepper when she started having some mobility issues, and we couldn't be happier.
what makes Walkin Wheels unique is that it is adjustable, which is great for many reasons. for one, you don't have to bring your dog to a specialty vet, which is less stressful on the dog. it also means that when your dog no longer needs the chair or passes on, that the chair can be used by another dog, since the chair isn't made for any one specific dog's body. that means you can keep it to possibly use later with another pet, or you could re-sell it, or you could donate it to a pet shelter that could use it.
the one slight downside to this chair is that since it is adjustable and not made specifically for your dog, there's a bit of trial and error in getting the chair fitted just right for your dog. the company does, however, include detailed instructions as well as an instructional DVD, to make things as easy as possible.
i don't have any experience with other doggie wheelchairs, so i can't really conpare them. i can't imagine that Walkin Wheels is any more difficulat to use than any other doggie wheelchair. as for Pepper, she took to it right away and is very happy with it. they are also surprisingly rugged. while Pepper doesn't do anything too vigorous, i've seen pictures of dogs frolicking at the edges of ponds and climbing mountains in this chair!
if your dog is in need of mobility aid and you don't know where to start, Walkin Wheels just might be the answer to all of your problems.
Pros: adjustable, affordable, no special vet visit, reusable / re-sellable
Cons: none really
