Large Pinecone[scheduled To Be Deleted]

One year the boyscouts collected these and filled them with peanut butter and bird seed to hang up for the birds outside of a nursing home. Don't understand why it's scheduled to be deleted becasue they can be used to help animals.

I enjoy collecting large pinecones. My brother lives in the eastern part of NC and there are an abundance of large pinecones in his area. I like to use this to decorate my home especially during Christmas. As already mentioned by another ZooTooer, they also make great birdfeeders. Cover them with peanut butter and then run them in birdseed. Hang several in the trees in your yard. Make sure they are high enough off the ground that the bird does not have to worry about being attacked while feeding.

Pros: Beautiful product of nature

Cons: Larger cones are harder to find
