Overall,I've never had a store bought Betta that would eat these flakes. It's only been Betta's that I've raised since they started as eggs, and that's because they started out with a varied diet from the get-go.
Most people don't realize that Betta's tummies are smaller than /or about the size of their eye,so very little is needed to keep them well fed. With the flakes, you tend to over feed, which means that the Betta's may be getting too much at one meal, and your chances of fouling the water in his tank are much greater, because of that.
Tetra is normally a great product, don't get me wrong.I just feel better with feeding frozen bloodworms,or Betta Bites.

Pros: healthy fair price easy to locate

Cons: tend to overfeed water gets messy

Color enhancing

posted 6 years ago

I fed Bettamin Flakes to my first betta. He loved this food, and his color improved immediately, and remained vibrant. I also found that my guppies enjoyed these flakes, and their color also improved. I've never had fish live as long as they did while I was feeding this product.

It's affordable, it's easy to find, and fish like it.

The downside (if you can call it that) is that flake foods are more processed than the more "natural" feeding choices. I now feed bloodworms instead, but would likely go back to this product if it doesn't work out with the bloodworms with the existing fish I have.

Pros: Keeps the fish looking their best, readily available, affordable, the fish like to eat this

Cons: Flakes are more processed than natural foods

I have 3 cats and they love this food. They eat less and walk away with a full belly. Eating less means pooping less and less litter. All around a great choice for my cats.
