The Roger Caras Dog Book/a Complete Guide To Every Akc Breed

This is a great reference book. If you do not know the AKC breeds then this will help you. The write ups will give you insight in to the various breed's temperament basedupon what they originated for. It is a wonderful addition to any shelter library as it will help in many aspects of evaluation, determining breed and eventual adoption of the dog.
And to be honest...and I love watching Westminster Dog Show, but Roger's voice is annoying...so reading this book is much easier to tolerate. Sorry Mr. Caras...

One of the most indepth books on breed description. Mr. Caras goes into great detail on the personality and description of each breed. He also gives coat care and exercise requirements. The photographs are of beautiful representatives of their breed.
