Beautiful Joe A Dog's Own Story (1893)

I have an old copy of this book. I read this book as a child and always thought it was sad how beautiful joe was treated when he was little.

Cons: sad in parts

I read Beautiful Joe when I was very young. I think about 11. They called him Beautiful Joe, because he was so ugly from the mistreatment he received, and they didn't want him to know that he was ugly. That was the sweetest reason and I loved this book. I have always loved animals, had so many of them, thanks to my husband catering to his country wife, he, being from the city, never had a pet.
