The photographs are great and this book, by Nikki Mousttaki has all the information you need and then some to help you enjoy owning one or more parakeets. From the English budgie to the American parakeet, this book not only gives you the history of parakeets, but tells you how to choose the right cage, how to care for an ill parakeet, and how to breed parakeets, among other aspects of parakeet care. I recommend reading before purchasing one or more parakeets.

We had parakeets when I was a kid ... they make great little pets. They're smart and fun to play with, inexpensive and easy to keep.

what i like so much about this book is that even though it is for keets it is also a good guide for tiels. the care of each is very similar. a very good book
