Outstanding overview of dog breeds

Published by the AKC (okay, add your AKC comments here, I will wait....) The Complete Dog Book is an outstanding overview of all dog breeds, with helpful and concise information.
Pros: Very informative

Good reference book

Even if you hate the AKC, there are always those times when someone mentions a dog breed you never heard of. This is the book to go to. Admittedly we found our copy at the local thrift store and I probably would never pay full price for it, but....
Pros: good choice for your library, well illustrated
