Prefer the electric charger

We originally bought the solar powered fence charger so that we wouldn't have to hook up to an electrical source. Unfortunately, in less than a year, the system no longer functioned, even when we replaced the back-up battery. We put an electric system in and never had another problem.
Pros: Needs no electricity
Cons: Short life span
