My older cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes and I had to go out and buy grain free or very low carb foods. The Wellness Beef and Chicken variety is Grain Free and additionally is produced without by-products, and contains no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. The first five ingredients in this particular product are: beef, chicken , chicken liver, chicken broth, carrots, followed by more vegetables, berries added vitamins and minerals and only an ingredient or two that I am not crazy about, e.g., Carrageenan (extracted from seaweed, a food additive, some some questions as to its safety. Importantly, my cat took to the taste right away, although I noticed that he took a longer time to fininsh his meal--the consistency is denser than the canned foods he used to be fed. This is somewhat expensive, and I can't find in the supermarket, but it most certainly has become one of my foods of choose.

My cats LOVE this food! I am in the process of switching my two kitties over to a completely wet, grain-free food and I couldn't have started with a better product. There are several flavors available and my kitties like the majority of them. Well, Adso (my BIG boy) loves all of them but Smudge (my petite princess who is somewhat resisting th change) is more reserved with some of the flavors.

The only thing I would like to see changed is the price of the food. It can be very prohibitive to buy a suply for a month or two. Even so, the difference I see in my babies after just a couple of weeks is heartening.

Wellness cat food is a top brand. I just bought this tonight at Petco! It is loaded with fruits & veggies. And low magnesium is so important as cats are prone to UTI's.

I gave the beef and chicken to my cat tonight and she ate it right up. She likes all Wellness wet food but this was a new one for her.

Bean loves this cat food. Wellness comes in all different flavors, so your cat doesn't get bored with its meals. Also, since its all natural and no weird fake chemicals, the cat food doesn't have that overwhelming smell... smells just like food! Great food for cats.

All four of my cats tried Wellness Beef and CHicken and only 2 of the four ate it. One smelled it and walked away. The other ate a little and left the rest.

My cats are not that finicky but they didn't love it.
