I swear by this food for sensitive stomachs
posted 4 years ago
My cat was vomiting and losing weight. After multiple tests not showing anything wrong with him it was decided that he must have intestinal sensitivities, though unsure being caused by what.
I put him on a homemade allergy diet to calm his intestines, then switched him over to this food. He has been eating it for years and his coat is shiny and beautiful and he keeps on weight.
He loves the flavor, especially if I keep it sealed up tight so it stays a little oily and doesn't dry out. I have to put the bag away the second I get home or he tears right into through the side.
Pros: Solved my cats digestive problems
Cons: Kind of pricey

Saved my kitty's stomach
posted 5 years ago
I've been using Special 33 for over three years. Prior to finding it, I tried several different lower-protein foods to help with my cat's extremely sensitive stomach. Of the other foods I tried, only one helped at all with her diarrhea, and she hated the taste of it, so she started losing weight. Jiji diarrhea cleared up within about 2 days of starting her on this food, and she hasn't had a single problem since. Also, she LOVES the taste of the food and would eat constantly if I didn't regulate how much she gets.
If you have a cat with a sensitive stomach, particularly a breed that is known to have trouble digesting foods too high in protein (Siamese, Abyssinian, etc.), I'd highly recommend trying this food. I'm glad I did.
Pros: Cured diarrhea
Cons: None, that I've noticed

Veterinarian recommended!
posted 4 years ago
Royal Canin has really developed some fantasic diets over the past few years. Our veterinary internist highly reccomends their highly digestible line of foods for our patients with intestinal issues related to IBD ( inflammatory bowel disease) and intestinal lymphoma. It's expensive but worth the cost when it prevents vomiting and diarrhea associated with gut disease.
Pros: easily digested, great fro food allergies
Cons: expensive
