This stuff is great -- I have tried many of the "weight management" foods for one of my cats, and this one is the best by far. Purina's "Indoor" brand has about twice the amount of calories per serving as this food does, plus a lot of "fillers".

One of the best things about this food is that it pretty much eliminates stool odor. I ran out of this food last month and went back to the Purina Indoor for a couple weeks and I was gagging on the smell coming from the litter box... once I picked up more of the Nutro food, the smell was gone!

And in terms of weight management, my fattest cat did shed a couple of pounds since he has been on it... the opposite of what happened when I put him on Purina's Indoor brand (he blew up like a balloon -- that was his fattest EVER).

Nutro has also finally decreased the size of the pellets to a normal cat food size -- when I first started buying this brand approximately 2-3 yrs. ago, the pellets looked like they were made for very large dogs. Now the size is appropriate for cats.

In terms of price, Nutro is a bit pricier than your more common brand name foods, but not by all that much, and it's worth it. I buy it in the largest size available and when it is on sale, so that usually brings down the cost quite a bit. You usually can't find this at most supermarkets or drugstores, but you can usually find it at Petco (who, if you join their free rewards program, will very often have $5 off sales on the largest size of this food, will send you coupons, and for every 10 bags that you buy of an identical food, you get one free) and Pet Smart.

My cats don't really seem to care much about what they eat, so they scarf this stuff down. Five stars from me on this one!

I love Nutro dry food for my cats. I'm new to Nutro but have used this formula (weight management) as well as their kitten formula. My cats seem to really love Nutro dry. They aren't fans of thier canned or pouches though. Nutro is a trustworthy brand that contains few fillers and no by-products. I loved meeting the Nutro reps at Petco. They gave me coupons and taught me a lot about the brand. I also like that the ash and magnesium levels are super low in their dry food, something to think about with a house full of neutered males, one who has FLUTD.

First of all, how would I knwo if it tastes wonderful? Why do they ask that on reviews? After my vet closed with 0 notice and both of my cats were on prescription food, I had to find an alternative for each of their problems. Simon, had pancreatitis and was vomiting all the time. I decided to try the Natural Choice for sensitive stomachs. The only problem with this is that it is also weight management and this cat does not need to lose any weight. Since this food is larger than normal, he eats a lot less than he normally would and wants to snack all the time! I mean he cries every five minutes for food. I give it to him and he only eats a little bit. Even though his stomach seems to be handling it, I am worried he isn't eating enough.

This is my zoo's favorite light food. It's a little higher in fat than competitors (such as Science Diet) but that's probably why they like it more! The kibble sizes are fairly large, which I like because it forces the cats to chew, but some cats may prefer smaller bites. Prices tend to be competitive among higher-quality foods. Overall, I'm quite happy with this food.

We just give our 4 indoor cats a bow. l of food and let them eat when they're hungry. For 3 of our cats this isn't a problem, but 1 of them will eat more than his share we started them on the Nutro weight management food, and surprisingly they made the switch without any upset stomachs (or other related unpleasantries). The cats really seem to love the food and if the bowl is ever empty we get a desperate chorus of cries. We got a bag of Science Diet cat food a couple weeks ago and the entire feline household staged a hunger strike until the Nutro returned! I'm not sure anyone has lost any weight, but they do love the food!

Pros: Cats love it. Good ingredients. Switched to it without disrupting digestive tracts.

Cons: Hard for cats to lose weight when they won't stop eating the food
