But Cats Don't Like Cold Food, Do They?

posted 4 years ago

It was great to see cats given greater "equality" by a pet food manufacturer! Refrigerated foods for dogs have been available for quite some time, and I wondered IF there would ever be a feline counterpart; now there IS.

However, I was a little skeptical of this refrigerated food since cats tend to like "warm" food, not cold. I still wanted to let my cats try it since it sounded "good". Unfortunately, my two "taste-testers" (Fuzzy and Chetzer) eagerly licked up all the sauce/broth but ate very little of the "meat"--and did so only after returning to the now-sauceless food on their plates.

At $1.49 per 5.5 ounce cup, I'd expect a much better response by my cats in order to say they actually "liked" and "preferred" this food.

Pros: Chicken & Shrimp Ingredients; Uses "Locally Sourced Ingredients"; Meets AAFCO Nutrient Profiles

Cons: Cats Loved The Broth But Ate Little Of The "Meat"; Must Be Kept Refrigerated; Perishable (Short Expiration Term)

Iams ProActive Health Multi-Cat Chicken & Salmon Cat Food

I have 3 cats and they love this food. They eat less and walk away with a full belly. Eating less means pooping less and less litter. All around a great choice for my cats.
