This is a wonderful food that can be trusted, with the highest-quality, non-allergenic ingredients. I fed the lamb versionfor a long time to my dogs, after my German Shepherd mix started developing allergies to corn and wheat. It is a very good food that dogs find very palatable. The only reason I switched foods is because Wellness was sold to a new owner and they started extruding the kibble instead of baking it.

Overall Wellness Super5 Mix Lamb is a good food. I have fed quiet a few different brands throughout my lifetime and finding a single protien source diet is sometimes hard. My dog has a sensitive stomach towards chicken and most lamb and rice diets I was told to try had chicken as a major component. Super5mix has lamb and a little fish, a good combination. The ingredients are quality and the freshness of the product can be smelled as soon as the bag is opened. The feeding instructions are pretty good guidence although my dogs get a little more do to age and activity level. Some dogs may experience a little upset stomach when changing over but I didn't notice enough to stop feeding. Overall I am quiet pleased.

Cons: Occasional stool that is not as formed as I would prefer, no coupons that I have found, no frequent buyer program.

my dog is really really picky about what food and treats he eats, but he really liked this food. I did switch to Wellness Fish and Sweet Potato because of possible food allergies...but while using this food, he really liked it!

I love this particular brand of food. Both my cat and dog used to be on Nutro, and then I had to dish out $2,000.00 at the vet when my cat was affected by the recall. A year later, I finally got my settlement and money from Menu Foods/Nutro, but I decided I would never, ever buy internationally manufactured dog or cat food ever again. Nutro was on the recall list. Wellness wasn't, and never has been. I appreciate the human grade ingredients, the purity of the ingredients and my dog loves it too. I highly recommend this food. Although it is admittedly on the expensive side, wouldn't you rather maintain your pet in optimal health now rather than pay the difference later? And in all honesty, the price is actually less than or equal to Nutro Ultra Holistic.
