Save some bucks, buy 'em by the box
posted 7 years ago
Merrick pig ears are great, but if you're going to be feeding very many of them, consider buying a box of them and saving yourself some bucks. Warning if you buy a box: Tell the shipper you want the box taped very securely, as Merrick boxes are "knockdowns" and have openings through which dirt, dust, and other undesirable things can reach and taint the pig ears. I wouldn't want my dog eating something that had been open to the conveyer belts of a UPS or other facility, warehouse dust/dirt/etc.
Be sure to supervise your pet when he/she is eating a pig ear. A possible choke hazard exists.
Pros: healthy treat, durable, tasty
Cons: possible choke hazard, always supervise your pet when he/she is eating a pig ear
