I got a bag of Nutri Source at a local gas station when I had my dog in the car away from home and realized he hadn't got his food for the day. The 2 lb bag was $2.00 and had a $2.00 off coupon inside the bag, nice benefit. My dog loved the food and had no ill effects from it. I was impressed to read that it has real chicken in it, also many added minerals, vitamin c and glucosamine and chondroitin. It can also be used for puppies. I was surprised he liked it so much because it is small plain looking nuggets. I will surely look for the larger size for an alternative dogfood for my dog.
Pros: real chicken, naturally preserved
Cons: might be pricey

Nutrisource is Great!

I started feeding NutriSource to my 5 dogs (all rescued, I live in the country) after getting a free sample at the feed store. They all love it. I can already see a difference in their coats, and energy level. I have been feeding it for about 5 weeks. I couldn't believe how all of them went after it the first time. I was always trying to find something that all of them would eat, and it was becoming frustrating. I have read the information on this food and it is really a good food for dogs. Not like that grocery store stuff. And Walmart brand, forget it.
If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it.
Pros: My dogs love the taste, I have seen a big change in their coats
Cons: None that I can see so far

One of the few foods that agree with my dog
posted 6 years ago
We usually buy the chicken and rice or the lamb and rice varieties for our older dog who can eat other foods for about a month and then starts vomiting at least once or twice a week. She does pretty well on this food and now that we have 2 dogs, we can't always be sure which one was sick, but it's probably the younger one who eats things he shouldn't (mainly chunks of "indestructible" toys). We tried the senior food and on just one bag, she lost weight, so we switched back to her normal version and she gained the weight back.
Pros: two varieties of food for dogs with sensitive stomachs
Cons: costs more than I like to pay
