Fresh Raw Carrots

Often, the first snack that comes to mind to give small pets are carrots. They are loaded with vitamin C which is a necessity for guinea pigs, but the high sugar content makes them better served as an occasional treat.

While my dogs love most store bought treats, raw carrots are their favorite. They will do almost anything for a carrot. I like knowing exactly what I am giving them and that they are getting a healthy treat. Carrots are also very economical.
