Puppy mills: A national disgrace

I'm proud to say my town of Great Falls, Montana is home to two outstanding people: Walter Breuning, the oldest man in the world (113 years young); and Carol Bradley, a courageous writer (trust me).
Carol has written a book about puppy mills, and a rescued puppy mill dog named Gracie, that everyone should read -- not just "dog people." If you aren't yet an activist against institutionalized wrongs before reading her book, you will find it hard to stay that way afterwards.
Pros: Compelling writing on an important subject
Cons: Some facts can make you melt down momentarily
