Animal Liberation: A New Ethics for Our Treatment of Animals

posted 6 years ago

When philosopher Peter Singer wrote his book in the late 1970s, the concept of animal "rights" was ridiculed -- ridicule being the first step in the eventual acceptance of a new idea. Now people have moved beyond that to at least the discussion phase about animals having actual rights. I loved reading this book in the '80s. It was like a cool drink of water on a hot day. Singer is rational and logical. Animal Liberation has helped effect a sea change still in the works on how humans view and treat nonhumans.

Pros: "Bible" of the animal rights movement

Cons: None

I have 3 cats and they love this food. They eat less and walk away with a full belly. Eating less means pooping less and less litter. All around a great choice for my cats.
