Many are familiar with Skidboot from his days on PetStar and his videos, which may be viewed at YouTube.com, PetPlace.com, Skidboot.com, and many other places on the Internet. Skidboot never failed to amaze his audiences, but he remained totally fixed on David. Even with the "lights of Hollywood" trained on him, he was oblivious to the rest of the world, because his world was David.

Laid to rest in March 2007, Skidboot was David's "dog of a lifetime" and the inspiration for many to "train" their already-intelligent dogs in a new way: acknowledging and accepting that their pet already knows many words and their meanings, and building upon that foundation.
