One of my favorite books-it depicts the wonderful team from Best Friends Animal Society. They bravely went into flooded areas and rescued thousands of pets. All were treated and cared for-some reunited with their owners and many more adopted out. At the end of the rescue-the remainder were taken back to Utah-and NOT LEFT BEHIND.

This is a wonderful tribute to those who gave the love, compassion and dedication in rescuing the animals during the Katrina crisis. Wonderful stories and information in regards. Great gift book for those involved in rescues and shelters.
