Cat Women: Female Writers On Their Feline Friends

I couldn't resist the title of this book. It is a collection of twenty-eight short stories from female writers and is a varied lot. One story is actually about the author's toddler son's leaving his stuff Little Black Cat companion behind at a hotel. Each story is very different--some are just the day-to-day interactions with their cat, some take a more scientific approach to the fear of the connection between women having cats and spinsterhood and others involve trying to integrate a cat into a household with a cat-hating boyfriend. All the stories are interesting and well-written.
