Natural Vet Just Add Oats

This is really easy to feed to my horses, and it helps that they like it!

My Morgan gelding Taliesin is a VERY easy keeper, like many Morgans, and the horses are on a dry lot where he boards. Free-choice hay keeps him round and bouncy. So, we were concerned that he might not be getting all the trace minerals and vitamins that a horse on pasture gets, or a horse that receives grain or a commercial feed in addition to hay.

At mealtime, Tally gets a scant handful of plain old oats, more for the psychological effect than the nutrition -- but to this we now add a measure of Just Add Oats from The Natural Vet (on the Web). It includes all the vitamins and minerals he needs -- and it is made just for this situation (horse not on pasture/feed). I get the double-dose large-size supply and it lasts a very long time -- the price looks daunting, but spread out over a year, it is affordable.

The only downside is that he doesn't like the taste, so he now also gets a spoonful of applesauce (unsweetened organic) -- he really licks the feeder clean with that!

Tally turned 19 yesterday and you would not know it -- he looks and acts (unfortunately, in some ways LOL) like a very much younger horse. I can't say that Just Add Oats is the reason, but I am sure it has not hurt!
